WORKSHOP SERVICES

Here at Sercombe and Matheson Opticians we have our own workshop with all the machinery and parts required to make or repair most glasses on site. We can do less complex jobs while you wait but for more complex jobs we may require your glasses for a few hours. Our technician Ian is particularly good at tricky repairs. Miracles do happen!

WORKSHOP SERVICES INCLUDE:

• fitting new lenses to new or existing frames
• re-edging existing lenses to new frames
• soldering metal frames
  
• nosepad replacements for discoloured or broken nose pieces
• temple tip replacements
• screw replacements
• glasses case replacements
• hinge repairs
• nylon thread repair ( for semi-rimless frames)
• frame adjustments to optimize your comfort and your vision
  
• ultrasonic cleaning for those hard to reach places
  

Replacing screws, ultrasonic cleaning and frame adjustments are all free services. There is a small charge for solders, nosepads and temple tips.

                 

We're happy to inspect your broken or damaged glasses - just bring them in.
